About the Author
Al McOrmond began work in a dental laboratory in 1979. He gained his Registered Dental Technologist (RDT) license for Ontario in 1998. By 1990, he had started McO Dental Technology Services Inc., a small orthodontic specialty laboratory.
In 1991, Al, gained a position as a full time Professor in the Dental Technology Department of George Brown College, to teach; orthodontics, complete denture, partial dentures, and dental materials.
Al published his first textbook, Orthodontic Laboratory Techniques in 1996.
Returning to school in 2000, he entered the Denturist Program, and became a Denturist (DD) in 2002.
Al continues to teach Dental Technology at George Brown College, operate McO Dental, and practice as a Denturist in Wasaga Beach, Ontario.
