About the Author
Al McOrmond is a Registered Dental Technologist and Denturist. He has specialized in orthodontics since 1985 and received his RDT licence in 1998. In 2002 Al received his Denturist licence (DD) in order to assist with his teaching and he has a small practice.
He teaches orthodontics, complete and partial dentures, anatomy, dental materials and occasionally crown and bridge in the Dental Technology Program, Faculty of Health Sciences at George Brown College. While teaching he discovered a need for an orthodontic text targeted towards those in the laboratory. He therefore formed WD Publishing and wrote and published “Orthodontic Laboratory Techniques” in 1996.
